How it works, in pictures

Five steps and your first automation is running.

The drawings below illustrate the screens and may differ from what you see.

    Connect your account

    • Press “Continue with Instagram”.
    • Sign in on Instagram and allow access to comments and messages.
    • Back here, check that it is your account and press “Connect this account”.
    • Your password is only ever typed on Instagram.

    Pick your posts

    • Open “Posts & reels” and choose what should send DMs.
    • One automation can cover several posts.

    Choose the comments

    • “All comments” answers whatever people write.
    • Set the follow requirement and keyword condition separately, or use both together.
    • Write separate messages for comments with and without keywords. Leave the no-keyword message empty to skip those comments.
    • Your own comments and replies to comments are excluded.

    Write the message

    • Send right away, after a button tap, or after a follow check.
    • Check the wording in the preview. The preview never sends anything.
    • Button text can be up to 20 characters.

    Turn it on and watch

    • Saving alone leaves a draft. Press “Turn on” to make it run.
    • It applies to comments posted after you turn it on.
    • The delivery log shows what went out and what failed.

Frequently asked questions

My personal account will not connect

Switch to a business or creator account in Instagram, then connect again. Together those two are called a professional account.

It says only test accounts can connect

That means general sign-up is still being prepared. Nothing is wrong with your setup.

It says the account needs reconnecting

Sign in with Instagram again from “Accounts”. Normally the service keeps the connection alive on its own.

Can the same person get a DM twice?

Yes, once for each new comment they leave. The same comment never triggers a second send.

It says sent, but they did not see it

Sent means Instagram accepted the message, not that it was read. People who do not follow you may need to check their message requests.

What if the follow cannot be checked?

The content is held back and a reminder is sent instead. Deliveries with an unconfirmed result are never retried automatically, to avoid sending twice.
